INDEFINITE LEAVE TO REMAIN (ILR) / PERMANENT RESIDENCE

To be eligibile for indefinite leave to remain you need to meet the following requirements, you have spent most of the time in the UK on:

• Work Permit for a period of 5 years

• HSMP for a period of 5 years

• Marriage visa for a period of 2 years (Spouses of UK citizens or permanent residents mainly those with indefinite leave to remain)

• Unmared partners visa for a period of 2 years

• Business Categories visa for period of 5 years

• Ancestry visa for period of 5 years

• Writers, Composers and artists visa for period of 5 years

• Lawful stay on any basis for period of 10 years

• Unlawful stay on any basis for period of 14 years
